Obsessions

So, I may be late, but I've jumped on the Pinterest bandwagon. I honestly thought, meh it can't be as exciting as everyone says it is.

Ummm, ok. I was wrong. Like, really wrong. I've spent the last week of my life pinning amazing DIY's, foods I want to make, birthday party ideas....omigosh. I can't even describe the awesomeness that is pinterest. If you haven't already, check it out. Or don't, it will take over your life.

I've decided I'm going to learn how to cook via pinterest. (Not to mention the amaaaaaazing desserts I've seen....2 ingredient homemade butterfingers?! REALLY!?) Homemade Febreze, teeth whitener, dryer sheets, holiday decorations...the list goes on and on and on.
..................................

This weekend was pretty epic. Saturday we spent the afternoon with my best friend in the world, and her boo and 2 handsome babes. They're 4 and 5 and it seems like just yesterday they were teeny, tiny babies. Time flies. We went to a park, and had planned to go to a pumpkin patch but it was really windy, and started raining. So those plans flew out the window. But it's ok, we got to spend time together, and it was amazing, and long over due. We've already made plans to get together again soon. Yay!
After we left them, we went to my grandparents and had the most delicious lunch (ribs & apple pie) I may have had seconds. We hung out with them for a couple of hours then headed to another friend's house to hang with him and his 2 year old son. The Mrs was working so we'll have to catch her next time ;)
After leaving home at 9 am, we finally got home around 7ish and we relaxed for the rest of the night. I guess I forgot to mention all of our friends/family live 1+ hours away from us. All in all, it was a good day. The baby got spend some much needed time with the fam, (and in a swing, which she loooooves) and she was happy all day even with only having two 15 minute naps.
.............................
Today was full of laundry. We skipped church. (sorry God) It was rainy and disgusting out all.day.long.
I did about 6 loads of laundry, cleaned the entire house and played with the little one. It was a busy, but good day. Back to the ol' grind tomorrow. But I'm not complaining. House is back!!!! Woooo hooooo.

Hope you all had a great weekend, and hope your upcoming week it fabulous as well.
Oy, I'm a hot mess.

Where to begin.....

Friday I picked up babe from her nanny, and wouldn't you know it..... She got hurt.

She was pulling up on a little corner table and before the nanny could get to her, it tipped and smacked her right in the face. She's got quite the bruise to show for it.

Needless to say, I was furious. I entrust you with my child, on a daily basis, I pay you to take care of her as if she were your own, and you let her get injured?! How far away were you from her that you couldn't get to her before it fell?! It is your job to be there within arms reach at all times, and when you can't be, she needs to be put somewhere where she can't get hurt; pack & play, swing...how hard is that?!
I'm not the perfect mother, by any means, but if I were compensated to take care of someone else's child, you can bet your ass I'd be right there, at.all.times.

She could tell how furious I was, to the point that while I strapping in my (still sniffling) baby into her car seat, she came and told me if I didn't want her to keep A anymore she would understand. All of this was said in between sobs. She was clearly extremely upset that this happened and felt incredibly guilty. So while I was still pissed that it happened (still am as a matter of fact) I gave her a hug and told her accidents happen. I did give her this week off anyway (which I had planned to do long before the accident happened btw) and next week we'll go back to our normal schedule. But, if anything like this happens again, I can't say that we'll stay with her.
We got her home and examined the injury, and luckily it wasn't even tender. She's fine, thank God.
............................
We had plans to go out that night and since she was fine we kept our plans and went out. The Mr and I went to our first college football game! We had such a great time. The Mr (as most men do) loves football (and every other sport there is ::eye roll:: ) whereas I'm not the biggest fan. But it being our first time, I knew we were going to have a good time. We got there around 430 and kick off was at 7. The college kids had been tailgating since noon. NOON! I had never seen so many drunk college kids! Hundreds and hundreds, maybe thousands.
Our seats were incredible, my boss is a booster and gets free seats and since she (is super rich and awesome) has her own club box seats she lets the employees have the others. 17 rows up corner end zone. Crazy.
UCF vs Charleston Southern.
62-0 UCF. We kicked their asses!!
We're going again this weekend. We're playing Boston College, so I don't think it'll be quite the sweep this game was. But you never know.
..................
Sunday we took advantage of some Labor Day sales, we bought a 55 inch LCD LG tv. I must say it looks great where our old 46in used to sit!!
..................
We also got to spend some time with my sister in law. Not as much time as we would have liked, but luckily we'll be seeing her again in a couple of months!! It was good to see her, and she got to meet the little finally, so it was a great day :)
...............
All in all, that was our weekend. Back to the real world now. I actually had to work today, so I'm taking Friday off and getting my hair done, and hitting a few Dr. appointments. I'll also be doing all of my house work that day so we can relax and actually enjoy the weekend for a change. Weekends never last long enough.

Hope you have an awesome week!! <3

:/

So I got these new meds yesterday from the Dr. for my back pain.

It says, take 1-2 pills twice a day as needed; it also says to take them before the onset of pain and it will work better. Well, since the pain is always there, I take them morning and night. Today was my first say of taking them, and they have quite the effects.

This morning, I took two, because my back pain, believe it or not, is the worst when I'm at work. And lemme tell you, I was SO high. I felt like I was on crack. I was sweating, my heart was racing, hands were shaking, and I felt like I was going to hurl. Luckily, I didn't. I will say though, I wasn't in any pain :)

Tonight, I've only taken one, and I feel like I could fall asleep sitting here. I can barely hold my eyes open, so please forgive any typos or random jumping around.
.......

The little will be walking any day now. I'm beyond excited, she can stand up all by herself, and she pulls up on everything; walls, doors, people, tables.....anything and everything.

We started planning her (quickly approaching!!) birthday, but I think we've decided to change some things. The Mr and I really need to sit down, and get organized, October 30th will be here before we know it!!
.............

We don't really have any plans for the weekend. The hubs is on call, so it's hard to set anything up since there's always the chance that he'll have to work. He even worries about going to church. He doesn't want to have to leave in the middle of service, but it hasn't happened so far ;)
Next weekend we'll be having a nice date night. It's long overdue. We've got a great sitter for the little. Miss A loooooves her, and the Mr and I do too. She said, "don't pay me, just buy me dinner." Um OK! haha. She is genuinely one of the sweetest people I have ever met, and I'm glad to have her in my life. <3
.............
I'm so happy tomorrow is Friday.

Have a great weekend! :)

Classy/trashy

You can be the judge, but I need to tell this story to the interwebz.

Last weekend, the hubs, babe and myself went to Ikea, but you know that already. Remember how I told you about the bad ass picture we bought for our living room that was too big for our car? Well, here's how that went;

We had time to kill, and some $$ to spend. We've been planning on buying this picture for a few weeks

I was positive it would fit in our car. If not in the trunk, then wedged between both passenger seats up against the doors (does that make sense?)
So we get there, and we're all excited be buying the newest addition to our place!
We get in and out pretty quickly, not before buying a stuffed doggy for the little one! (She loves dogs)

She was happy, we were happy, although we did discuss how awesome it would be to go in there and drop 10 or 15k. One can dream right?!

Annnnnyhow, we get outside, it's hotter than hell, as always, and we get to the car.
Guess what?!

I was wrong. It didn't fit in the trunk. Close, but no cigar. So I'm like, ok we can wedge it inside!
No dice!
Really?! How can this be possible?! It doesn't seem like it's that big! Clearly my judgement is a bit foggy. So I have the bright idea (and really our only option) of strapping it....wait for it......to the roof. Yep.

We actually did it.

I wasn't too embarrassed. Then the Mr. tells me I'll have to hang my arm out of the window and hold it down.

Um, really?

Yep. Once we started getting some speed, the wind would catch underneath it and rip it right off. I didn't want that to happen since we were so excited to have it, not to mention that it was my idea to strap it to the roof instead of calling for backup.

So we pull out, I've got my arm out, hanging tight, not biggie.

Then we pull on to I4. We get going pretty fast, and OH SHIT! It's really flying up! I don't want to lose it! Crap! WTF are we going to do?! We can't drive any slower for goodness sake! We're on the interstate!

I shift my body sideways, (still in my seat belt) roll the window down, and throw BOTH arms up and hang on for dear life! I can only imagine how ridiculous I must have looked. Had I seen someone else doing this... I totes would have judged them.

But alas, you do what you've gotta do.

A scratched elbow, 2 bruised forearms (and ego) later, we made it home.

Was it worth it, sure. Would I do it again, nope.

Learn from your mistakes my friends.

Weekend update...

This weekend has been crazy busy. So busy in fact, that I've hardly had a chance to relax.
Friday night was our typical Friday when the Mr. is on call. Surprisingly he didn't get called out. ::Smiley face::

Saturday little miss was up at the butt crack of dawn as she is everyday. 6am. It never fails. So I got up with her, gave her a little breakfast and we hung out for about 45 minutes before she decided she was just kidding and wanted to go back to bed. Fine by me. I got to go back to sleep from 7 to 8:30. I'd happily get up at 8:30am on the weekends. I'd welcome that with open arms. Anything has got to be better than 6!
Anyhow, I had to leave by 9:15, so I showered got ready, got the little one ready, kissed the hubs g'bye and headed out the door.
Dropped A off at 9:30 and made it to the salon by 9:50! My appointment was at 10! I had to get my roots done. Going blonde when you have naturally dark hair requires some serious upkeep; so every 6 weeks like clockwork I go see my girl who makes magic happen :)
After that, around 12ish I think, I headed to Ulta to get some conditioner for this damaged hair of mine. (And I needed to get a new comb since I broke mine combing through my wet hair a week before. Srsly)
Then is was off to pick up the babe, and head to the dealership where we bought our car, they needed to do something, take pictures? I have no idea really. Did that, got 2 miles down the road, and had to turn around and go back because they didn't get everything they needed. ::Eye roll::
When we finished there, we swung by Babies R us to pick up some inserts for her Dr. Brown's bottles.
FINALLY 6 hours after we left we got home. The Mr. had a super bad headache so we just kinda hung out for the rest of the night. (I went to bed around 9:45, because I'm cool like that)
I was hoping to go to a fashion show that I had VIP tickets to but had no one to go with. (That'll be changing soon though ;) ) Had the Mr. not been on call, we definitely would have gone. Whatever.
Night 2 that he didn't get called out.

Today we skipped church :( We didn't want to be in the middle of the service and have to leave because he got called out! So it was his turn to get up with the babe, and I got to sleep in until 10am!!!!! It was amazing. Seriously. Amazing. That's love folks.
Got up, fed the babe, got ready went to the Audi dealership to get our oil changed, and wouldn't ya know it, they're closed on Sunday. I would have known this, but I thought my dear husband looked up their hours, I thought wrong. So we had 2 hours to kill before we had to be home. So we decided to go to Ikea. <3
We ended up getting a huge picture to put above our couch in the living room. It looks amazing. It was QUITE the adventure getting it from Ikea to our place though. It didn't fit in our car....but that's a whole other post in itself.
It looks great if I do say so myself.
We made it home just in time. We had a technician from Brighthouse scheduled to come between 3 and 5 to fix our DVR. Guess what time he showed up?! 4:59. I'm not exaggerating. He was here for about 20 minutes and fixed our problem. I am really starting to hate brighthouse. It's always something with them. Whatever.
That brings us to now, I've still got 2 loads of laundry to finish and a grumpy baby to put to bed.

Have a great week. :)

Newborn again?

That's what it seemed like I had last night. Not an 8 month old baby who sleeps through the night for 11 hour stretches....oh no, a brand new little, bitty baby that wanted to be held and rocked. Heaven forbid you put her down. As soon as her head hit the sheets she'd wake up and start crying again. I definitely don't miss those never ending nights.

God willing it was a one night thing. I think she's about to get more teeth, maybe that's the culprit. She's been gnawing on her hand like there's no tomorrow and I've never seen so much drool!! So gross. We call her Special Agent Grosso. (Those of you with kids can appreciate that!)

................................................................................................

We went to Ikea yesterday to look for ideas for a dining room table. Guess what?! We found one we liked, and we bought it! An added bonus, is was under our budget! WAY under our budget!
GRANÃ…S Table and 4 chairs, black, glass
This photo doesn't really do it justice. (thanks ikea.com) Underneath the glass top there's a little shelf area (kind of) made of cute little squares (which match our decor!) I'm not going to use it for storing napkins or magazines like the description calls for, we're going to put some big, wide bowl and then maybe a bamboo plant on top of the glass..... we'll see.
The chairs however, neither the hubs or myself are a fan of. We bought gray cushions to put on them, which makes them look a little better, but as soon as we find some chairs we like, we'll be replacing them.

...................................................................................

Not a whole lot happened this week/weekend. Cleaning, laundry, Ikea, grocery shopping today, and a little relaxing. We were going to check out a Church we were invited to by a colleague, but with the baby's sleepless night last night, we didn't quite make it. So, next Sunday it is.
And the weekend after that we'll be headed to Busch Gardens to spend the day with my dad and sister! I'm really excited because I haven't been in years. I think the last time the hubs and I went was 2006...? I'm not certain, but it's been a long time.
I'd also like to make it to the beach sometime soon, since we live....oh I don't know, half hour from the shore! I'm excited to take the little one since she's such a water baby already!

I hope you all have a safe and fantastic 4th!!
Enjoy your week!!

Oh, and one more thing.....17 days until BRITNEY SPEARS!!!!

Animal Kingdom

Today the hubs and I took our little one to Animal Kingdom!

I had never been (neither had our daughter of course) and I was really looking forward to it!! We have a ton to do this weekend, and I wanted to make sure we fit this into our schedule!

So, we woke up at......wait for it......6AM! Yep, I'm serious. 6am on a Saturday. We had to go get some power steering fluid for our car (since when we bought it, it was practically bone dry. Assholes) So we drove about 20 miles in the opposite direction of where we needed to go to buy some. We get to the place and they fill up our power steering fluid, along with topping off all of the other fluids too! FOR FREE! They said if we're ever in town, swing by, they'll top everything off and wash it FOR FREE! I feel like we're members of some sort of elite club. It was pretty awesome! After that we went and filled up the gas tank, (got myself a sugar free redbull ((YUM)) ) and headed to Disney!!

They opened at 9, and we got there at about 10.....prepare yourself for picture overload...

Ok for some reason the order they were uploaded, it not the way they are showing.....ugh

Oy.

Here we go.

Buying our first car.

I'm terrified. This is the second largest purchase a person will make! I don't know if I'm ready for that kind of debt, but you've gotta go, what you've gotta do.

Don't make fun of me if it's a Kia. We weren't planning on buying a car for a few more years, so we hadn't exactly budgeted or started saving. But whatever it is, I'll be proud. I'll hold my head up high, and not be a sissy baby about it. It's my car. Mine. (Well ours, but you know what I mean)

Please, please wish us luck (I actually don't believe in luck so do what ya do, cross fingers, pray whatever you like) We'll need it.

Thanks fellow bloggers!!

Enjoy your Memorial Day weekend. Stay safe, don't drink and drive!
(Most holidays AAA ((I think it's them)) even if you're not a member offer a FREE service... if you've had too much to drink, they'll tow your car home, and give you a ride. A SAFE ride.)
Consider what's at risk. <3

Terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day.

Yesterday was one of the worst days of my life. I've never been in a more terrifying situation.

My husband, myself and our daughter were involved in a near head on collision. Some punk ass kid thinking he had enough time to turn in front of us..... he clearly did not.

Our daughter was untouched. Not a scratch, and I will thank God every day for the rest of my life for protecting her.

I have a pretty nasty bruise on my knee, some burns on my arms from the airbag and really bad bruising and burns across my shoulder and chest from the seatbelt. I've also got some bruised ribs (they might as well be broken as badly as they hurt.)

My poor husband is a totally different story. The airbag gave him some pretty nasty cuts on his face. It also ripped of his left eyebrow, and the majority of his eyelashes are missing as well. He has cuts on numerous places on his scalp and has lots of bald spots. It's incredible how something designed to save your life can cause so much damage. He will definitely have some facial scarring, but we're hoping his eyebrow will grow back.

Here are some pictures.... not for weak stomachs.

My poor, poor car.
I was the driver by the way, and have less serious injuries than my husband.

This is me in the ambulance
(Guess I wasn't in too much pain since I could document along the way)

This is us in the emergency room. We never had a room of our own.
We stayed in the hallway for nearly 5 hours.

My poor, poor hubby.

Me again, this time in the hospital
( I was on the backboard WAY to long)

Horrible quality super zoomed in picture of my boo
:(

A close up shot of his cuts and missing eyebrow/hair

Trying to keep his spirits up

Thank God we're all going to be just fine.

Well, that's how my weekend was. How was yours?

Weekend update...

It's been quite a weekend my fellow bloggers.

As you all know, Baby A has been sick since Thursday. Coughing, sneezing, runny nose....poor kid.
We took her to after hours pediatrics Friday, did what they suggested and after 2 days, it didn't improve. So we called her primary care pediatrician and they said we should just take her in to the ER. So we did.
They ran some tests, and they all came back negative, no RSV, or influenza. She just has a little virus that's been going around, and it'll have to run its course. Boo.
I hate seeing my little one sick. It breaks my heart. So, fingers crossed, she'll be better within the next day or so.
I called her awesome nanny and told her what was going on, and she said she would still keep her tomorrow. (A is the only kid she has, so theres no risk of spreading to other babes) I'm so glad we have her in our lives. I couldn't have asked for anyone better to keep her...other than myself, obviously.

We had a little birthday celebration for me Saturday night, small, simple, and at our house. Just what I needed. Sushi, wine, and an awesome gift (banana scented perfume!) Also, red velvet cupcakes (which was my breakfast this morning btw)

Today has been pretty much meh, ER visit, cleaning, and MORE laundry...(something I'll elaborate on later)

Cheers to a new week, no more sick babies, pay day, and of course, my birthday.

Week(end) Update

This week flew by, I think it was because I knew I'd be getting paid on Friday (for the first time in a very long time). I'm starting to really like my job. Friday rolled around and 2 people were out of the office so it was mainly myself and 2 others, we hung out, working, chatting and listening to the radio. When lunch rolled around I told them that they needed to think of me and not talk to each other in Spanish the whole time, like usual, and they did! Finally I felt included! I got lots of work done, and when 430 rolled around, I flew out the door, down I4 and got to the nanny's to pick up my little one. (Who, by the way is 3 months old today!!)

Saturday we got up and moving around 9ish, and were out the door by 10. We spent the day apartment hunting. We visited 4 or 5 different communities, and didn't really have much luck. See, in the past we have really just checked out one place and moved in. This time we want to take our time and find the perfect place for us. Our current place is way too small, and we'd like to have a lot more space, for one, so A can have her own room, and two, so we can have people over and not feel like we're sitting on top of one another. We saw two that we really liked, but we made too much money to live in one, and the other was too small, it was gorgeous and in the perfect location, but not for us. So, we'll continue the search next weekend. (I also didn't feel like working at my second job so I called around and got someone to work for me ;) ) I spent the rest of the day cleaning instead of working!

We ended the night renting The Social Network, drinking a few and passing out. To be honest, I went to bed about half way though the movie, so I finished it this morning. ;)

Today consisted of lounging around and not doing much. Baby A has been a grump all day, so I'm glad it's almost over. I finished up laundry and we went for a walk (it was a gorgeous day) and that was pretty much it. Exciting huh?

Week(end) Recap

I know I don't update as often as I used to, but I'm busy these days.

I leave home at 7am and don't get home until 6pm. I'd update from my crackberry, but if I did, I'd never get any work done, so for now, I'll update when I can, continuing of course, my wordless Wednesday/Project 52.

My first week at my new job was great. All of the people in the office are really nice, and very helpful. Nearly 80% of the employees in our office are Hispanic, so they talk amongst each other in Spanish. Now I have ABSOLUTELY no problem with people speaking in whatever language they are most comfortable with, but I do, however, find it a little rude when we're all sitting at lunch together and they talk to each other knowing that we can't understand them. Am I wrong for feeling this way? If I am, please don't hesitate to correct me.

Here's what I do: I sit at a desk, in a room by myself (until they get an office space available for me) and I organize receipts from all of the Mexican restaurants in Epcot. I separate them, and count them, and enter all of the information into Excel. Now, I'm the only person who does this particular job, and we have quite a few restaurants, so I am never not busy. There is always work for me, which is awesome. It helps the days go by so much faster.
I appreciate this because we had to get a nanny for Baby A. I was hesitant at first and worried about this, but the woman we chose is a friend of a friend of a friend. She worked in a day care for 20 years, has 2 kids of her own, and Baby A is the only child she keeps. She is the sweetest woman I have ever met. My first day dropping the babe off with her, she got me a card telling me that everything would be ok, and not to worry that babes was in good hands and if I needed anything, or if I ever wanted to call, I could whenever. I cried so hard leaving my baby with her. I would have cried leaving her with anyone, but knowing that she was with someone who genuinely cared, made it a little easier. (She warned me when we all met for the first time for her initial interview that I would cry, I didn't think I would, but my Cod! She was right!)
It got easier everyday. She hugs me every morning and tells me to have a good day and asks me about my day when I pick up the kiddo. Amazing. I couldn't have asked for anyone better. She also got me a card on Friday congratulating me on making it through my first week!!
Babes seems to be getting used to her as well, she said she gradually got more used to her everyday. Tomorrow will be interesting since she will have to readjust from being with us all weekend. But fingers crossed everything will be ok.

Nothing really exciting happened this past week, woke up, went to work, came home, went to bed. Nothing to write home about for sure. Hmm, lets see...trying to think about what went down this weekend..
ahh, Saturday I went to work at my second job Old Navy. I like it, and I'm keeping it because I like the discount I get at the Gap. Plus it's only 1 day a week or every other, nothing I can't handle. The hubs got his xbox back that night from getting fixed, so he was a happy camper. Then we went to Linds and Wes' house drank some brews, watched Pretty Little Liars and Teen Mom 2. Usually we have to leave early because babes throws a fit, but this time, she fell asleep in my arms, and I held her and she did great! We actually got to stay out until 1030ish!
This morning we went to breakfast at Lindsey's parents, went and looked at a townhouse (that I really want to move into) then Lindsey and I went shopping and I came home and here we are. (There's a lot of Lindsey in that paragraph, can you tell I don't have many friends? I don't care, she'd be my favorite regardless...((don't worry Jess, ily toooo)) ..)

Tomorrow begins week 2 of full time workin', and my FIRST pay check!!! Woot! I'm rich biatch! Whomp whomp!! (thats a truck horn btw) haha

Have a good week.

(I was spell checking and I spelled 'regardless' wrong, and one of the suggestions were 'irreguardless' THAT'S NOT A WORD! GAH!)

Festive Fall Weekend

Friday was a crappy day. I was an emotional wreck for some reason. I thought the days of random emotion were behind me, at least for the most part, but alas, I was wrong. I sat around all day watching movies and doing a whole bunch of nothing. Cried on and off for the majority of the afternoon waiting around until Chad got home from work. He decided that ice cream would make me feel better, he was right. we stopped off at Dairy Queen on our way to Lindsey and Wesley's house and we got/shared a banana cream pie blizzard. Oh.My.Goodness. It was delicious. We hung out at their house for a while, then headed back home and called it a night.

Saturday we were supposed to get together with everyone and carve pumpkins and such, but the Mr. and Jessica's boo Vann both had to work so we held off until Sunday. For the life of me I cannot remember what happened on Saturday. So if I remember later, I'll come back and edit.

Sunday, Sunday, Sunday.... It was a good day. Hotter than hell though. Started the day off getting some groceries with the Hubs, came home had a little lunch, watched a little football, then off we went for some punkin' pickin'!

The hubs and I with his pumpkin. Excuse my pregnant fat face. The Mr. said he looks fat in this picture, I almost punched him.

This was my first year carving a pumpkin myself, I was very excited and decided I would carve a baby pumpkin. Jessica G gave me the idea of carving an "A" in honor of Baby Ariana, so that's what I did!

Now I know I mentioned previously that the hubs is a master pumpkin carver, well, here's the proof. He got extra fancy with his, and put us all to shame.

Here are all the final pumpkins, from left to right, My baby A, Hubs' Bat, Wesley's one ear'd pipe smokin' pumpkin, Lindsey's pirate, Jessica's winky face, and Vann's evil angry face.

After all the carving, it was dinner time! We had some Mexican burgers! Me, still trying to get this baby out decided to eat as much spicy stuff as possible. So I had some chips and hothothot salsa, and a burger with the hothothot salsa, and guacamole/jalapeno spread. It was super spicy. Also, there were some sweet potato fries....YUM. The spicy stuff gave me some contractions, but nothing came of it. As usual.
I've got 2 days until my due date, and I really hoped she would come early. By the looks of things, however, it's not looking good. The doctor told me when I have contractions that come every 5 to 10 minutes to go into labor and delivery. Last night, I had 4 in an hour, and I need to have 6 for it to be the real thing. We were so close....maybe sometime this week....I've got a feeling!

I'm baaaack!

My Internet has been wonky for the last 4 days. I didn't realize how much I rely on the Internet for evvvvvverything until I had to go without it. Insert sadface. Anyhow, needless to say, I'm back, thank goodness. I've missed being able to keep up with the blogs I read and facebook...how I ever made it without knowing what was going on in other people's lives for 4 whole days I'll never know.

Weekend recap.
Saturday was the Step Up and Walk for Down Syndrome walk at Lake Eola. I went with Lindsey, her momma Penny and her friend Liza (I think, pregnancy brain, sorry). It started out as a beautiful day, weather wise I mean. I woke up that morning at 5am, why....I don't know. It was actually chilly when we left for the walk at 9ish. I love fall.

Check out this cutie! This is Nora, she is two and I totally fell in love with her.

So we walked around the lake once, we were almost last in line thanks to none other than myself, I had to stop and pee....surprise, surprise. Then we stood around took a few pictures, and visited with friends and went home.
Here is Lindsey and I with Bullwinkle..poor guy had to be sweating his ass off!

What am I thinking?? I totally forgot about FRIDAY! Derr, sorry I don't know where my mind is today.
Friday I spent the entire day with Miss. Lindsey herself. She picked me up around 11ish...we had big plans. We were going to do anything and everything we could to make this baby come. We started off at a park (by the way, the weather was FREAKING AMAZING) someone told me that swinging can help bring the baby lower into the birth canal, so we swang (if that's even a word lol). Then we had lunch with her dad, who I love just so you know. Olive Garden....YUM. I could eat their soup everyday and never get tired of it. Seriously. After lunch we went to an organic market to pick up some Red Raspberry Leaf Tea (delicious), and stopped off at Publix to get the ingredients to make Labor Cookies. Lindsey made them, I watched. They failed. Maybe it was because we left out an ingredient, or maybe because my child is stubborn...I believe the latter. They are tricky cookies, they look like cookies, smell like yummy cookies and even taste good for the first 10 seconds....then they set your mouth on fire. Lindsey tried one (well half of one) and had to wash it down with milk and cheese. I, being the determined mommy to be ate as many as I could, hoping it would work.

Well, labor cookies, red raspberry leaf tea, swinging, spicy food, nothing worked. She is still an inside baby. Annnd that was Friday.

Back to Saturday....

After the walk I went home and took a much needed nap. Then the hubs and I sat around watching a little football before getting ready to go to Vann and Jess' house for Vann's 25 birthday celebration! We ate some super yummy wings, danced around like lunatics to Justin Bieber, and ate DELICIOUS carrot cake made by Jessica. Sooo goooood. I think I ate more icing than cake though. Sorry I can't rotate it ;)
All in all, Friday and Saturday were awesome. I had a great weekend.
Then Sunday came. I woke up on the wrong side of the bed for some reason, but I had to suck it up and go to work for my last day before maternity leave. So I went, worked, stood around on swollen feet and then left. It was a normal day at work, I wont miss working, but I will miss my paycheck, not that it was much, but still.
So here I am, it's Tuesday, day 2 of official maternity leave, house is clean, laundry is done, dishes are washed and brownies have been baked....now what? I guess we'll just wait around for our little one to show up. There will be a full moon on Friday, so maybe that will be the day.
I'm sorry this is so long, I probably could have separated this into 3 posts, but oh well. Thanks for reading!
