Obsessions

So, I may be late, but I've jumped on the Pinterest bandwagon. I honestly thought, meh it can't be as exciting as everyone says it is.

Ummm, ok. I was wrong. Like, really wrong. I've spent the last week of my life pinning amazing DIY's, foods I want to make, birthday party ideas....omigosh. I can't even describe the awesomeness that is pinterest. If you haven't already, check it out. Or don't, it will take over your life.

I've decided I'm going to learn how to cook via pinterest. (Not to mention the amaaaaaazing desserts I've seen....2 ingredient homemade butterfingers?! REALLY!?) Homemade Febreze, teeth whitener, dryer sheets, holiday decorations...the list goes on and on and on.
..................................

This weekend was pretty epic. Saturday we spent the afternoon with my best friend in the world, and her boo and 2 handsome babes. They're 4 and 5 and it seems like just yesterday they were teeny, tiny babies. Time flies. We went to a park, and had planned to go to a pumpkin patch but it was really windy, and started raining. So those plans flew out the window. But it's ok, we got to spend time together, and it was amazing, and long over due. We've already made plans to get together again soon. Yay!
After we left them, we went to my grandparents and had the most delicious lunch (ribs & apple pie) I may have had seconds. We hung out with them for a couple of hours then headed to another friend's house to hang with him and his 2 year old son. The Mrs was working so we'll have to catch her next time ;)
After leaving home at 9 am, we finally got home around 7ish and we relaxed for the rest of the night. I guess I forgot to mention all of our friends/family live 1+ hours away from us. All in all, it was a good day. The baby got spend some much needed time with the fam, (and in a swing, which she loooooves) and she was happy all day even with only having two 15 minute naps.
.............................
Today was full of laundry. We skipped church. (sorry God) It was rainy and disgusting out all.day.long.
I did about 6 loads of laundry, cleaned the entire house and played with the little one. It was a busy, but good day. Back to the ol' grind tomorrow. But I'm not complaining. House is back!!!! Woooo hooooo.

Hope you all had a great weekend, and hope your upcoming week it fabulous as well.
Oy, I'm a hot mess.

Where to begin.....

Friday I picked up babe from her nanny, and wouldn't you know it..... She got hurt.

She was pulling up on a little corner table and before the nanny could get to her, it tipped and smacked her right in the face. She's got quite the bruise to show for it.

Needless to say, I was furious. I entrust you with my child, on a daily basis, I pay you to take care of her as if she were your own, and you let her get injured?! How far away were you from her that you couldn't get to her before it fell?! It is your job to be there within arms reach at all times, and when you can't be, she needs to be put somewhere where she can't get hurt; pack & play, swing...how hard is that?!
I'm not the perfect mother, by any means, but if I were compensated to take care of someone else's child, you can bet your ass I'd be right there, at.all.times.

She could tell how furious I was, to the point that while I strapping in my (still sniffling) baby into her car seat, she came and told me if I didn't want her to keep A anymore she would understand. All of this was said in between sobs. She was clearly extremely upset that this happened and felt incredibly guilty. So while I was still pissed that it happened (still am as a matter of fact) I gave her a hug and told her accidents happen. I did give her this week off anyway (which I had planned to do long before the accident happened btw) and next week we'll go back to our normal schedule. But, if anything like this happens again, I can't say that we'll stay with her.
We got her home and examined the injury, and luckily it wasn't even tender. She's fine, thank God.
............................
We had plans to go out that night and since she was fine we kept our plans and went out. The Mr and I went to our first college football game! We had such a great time. The Mr (as most men do) loves football (and every other sport there is ::eye roll:: ) whereas I'm not the biggest fan. But it being our first time, I knew we were going to have a good time. We got there around 430 and kick off was at 7. The college kids had been tailgating since noon. NOON! I had never seen so many drunk college kids! Hundreds and hundreds, maybe thousands.
Our seats were incredible, my boss is a booster and gets free seats and since she (is super rich and awesome) has her own club box seats she lets the employees have the others. 17 rows up corner end zone. Crazy.
UCF vs Charleston Southern.
62-0 UCF. We kicked their asses!!
We're going again this weekend. We're playing Boston College, so I don't think it'll be quite the sweep this game was. But you never know.
..................
Sunday we took advantage of some Labor Day sales, we bought a 55 inch LCD LG tv. I must say it looks great where our old 46in used to sit!!
..................
We also got to spend some time with my sister in law. Not as much time as we would have liked, but luckily we'll be seeing her again in a couple of months!! It was good to see her, and she got to meet the little finally, so it was a great day :)
...............
All in all, that was our weekend. Back to the real world now. I actually had to work today, so I'm taking Friday off and getting my hair done, and hitting a few Dr. appointments. I'll also be doing all of my house work that day so we can relax and actually enjoy the weekend for a change. Weekends never last long enough.

Hope you have an awesome week!! <3

Overdue update

It's been too long. But I have SO much going on these days.

Where shall we start.....
Work is awesome, and super busy which is great. Job security *wink

Church is great, we missed this Sunday because baby A was NOT having it. She needed a nap right when we were walking out the door. Sooo, it didn't work out. This week it will. ::hangs head in shame::

Speaking of baby A, she got her toenails painted for the first time!!!

Super cute right?!

I've been taking this medicine the Dr gave me for my back, and it makes me feel like I'm on crack. I start sweating, and shaking and my heart starts racing. No bueno.
I had a consultation today with the pain management doctor who will be giving me the epidural type medicine injection hopefully that will happen soon; he also gave me some new meds that hopefully wont crack me out. SN: I've never done crack, so I am only assuming that is how I would feel.

Back to baby A, she can stand up by herself, and stay standing unassisted for almost a minute!! She will be walking any day. I'm so excited.

We're going to Tennessee in December, which I'm TOTALLY excited about. Get to see the fam and spend time with good people who care about us.

OH My best friend in the world is pregnant!!!!!! I am SO excited and can't wait. This will be baby #3 for her, and the first time I'll be living in the same state as her when she has it!!! I can't wait!!

That is all. Sorry for bouncing around. <3

Have a good week.

:/

So I got these new meds yesterday from the Dr. for my back pain.

It says, take 1-2 pills twice a day as needed; it also says to take them before the onset of pain and it will work better. Well, since the pain is always there, I take them morning and night. Today was my first say of taking them, and they have quite the effects.

This morning, I took two, because my back pain, believe it or not, is the worst when I'm at work. And lemme tell you, I was SO high. I felt like I was on crack. I was sweating, my heart was racing, hands were shaking, and I felt like I was going to hurl. Luckily, I didn't. I will say though, I wasn't in any pain :)

Tonight, I've only taken one, and I feel like I could fall asleep sitting here. I can barely hold my eyes open, so please forgive any typos or random jumping around.
.......

The little will be walking any day now. I'm beyond excited, she can stand up all by herself, and she pulls up on everything; walls, doors, people, tables.....anything and everything.

We started planning her (quickly approaching!!) birthday, but I think we've decided to change some things. The Mr and I really need to sit down, and get organized, October 30th will be here before we know it!!
.............

We don't really have any plans for the weekend. The hubs is on call, so it's hard to set anything up since there's always the chance that he'll have to work. He even worries about going to church. He doesn't want to have to leave in the middle of service, but it hasn't happened so far ;)
Next weekend we'll be having a nice date night. It's long overdue. We've got a great sitter for the little. Miss A loooooves her, and the Mr and I do too. She said, "don't pay me, just buy me dinner." Um OK! haha. She is genuinely one of the sweetest people I have ever met, and I'm glad to have her in my life. <3
.............
I'm so happy tomorrow is Friday.

Have a great weekend! :)

Title:

Today I learned the results of my latest MRI. I've had 2 now since we had the car accident.
And what I found out today was pretty unsettling.
There is a good chance I'll need to have surgery.
But I'm not worried.

Let go, and let God.
I am. Are you?

Have a great week :)

Weekend update...

This weekend has been crazy busy. So busy in fact, that I've hardly had a chance to relax.
Friday night was our typical Friday when the Mr. is on call. Surprisingly he didn't get called out. ::Smiley face::

Saturday little miss was up at the butt crack of dawn as she is everyday. 6am. It never fails. So I got up with her, gave her a little breakfast and we hung out for about 45 minutes before she decided she was just kidding and wanted to go back to bed. Fine by me. I got to go back to sleep from 7 to 8:30. I'd happily get up at 8:30am on the weekends. I'd welcome that with open arms. Anything has got to be better than 6!
Anyhow, I had to leave by 9:15, so I showered got ready, got the little one ready, kissed the hubs g'bye and headed out the door.
Dropped A off at 9:30 and made it to the salon by 9:50! My appointment was at 10! I had to get my roots done. Going blonde when you have naturally dark hair requires some serious upkeep; so every 6 weeks like clockwork I go see my girl who makes magic happen :)
After that, around 12ish I think, I headed to Ulta to get some conditioner for this damaged hair of mine. (And I needed to get a new comb since I broke mine combing through my wet hair a week before. Srsly)
Then is was off to pick up the babe, and head to the dealership where we bought our car, they needed to do something, take pictures? I have no idea really. Did that, got 2 miles down the road, and had to turn around and go back because they didn't get everything they needed. ::Eye roll::
When we finished there, we swung by Babies R us to pick up some inserts for her Dr. Brown's bottles.
FINALLY 6 hours after we left we got home. The Mr. had a super bad headache so we just kinda hung out for the rest of the night. (I went to bed around 9:45, because I'm cool like that)
I was hoping to go to a fashion show that I had VIP tickets to but had no one to go with. (That'll be changing soon though ;) ) Had the Mr. not been on call, we definitely would have gone. Whatever.
Night 2 that he didn't get called out.

Today we skipped church :( We didn't want to be in the middle of the service and have to leave because he got called out! So it was his turn to get up with the babe, and I got to sleep in until 10am!!!!! It was amazing. Seriously. Amazing. That's love folks.
Got up, fed the babe, got ready went to the Audi dealership to get our oil changed, and wouldn't ya know it, they're closed on Sunday. I would have known this, but I thought my dear husband looked up their hours, I thought wrong. So we had 2 hours to kill before we had to be home. So we decided to go to Ikea. <3
We ended up getting a huge picture to put above our couch in the living room. It looks amazing. It was QUITE the adventure getting it from Ikea to our place though. It didn't fit in our car....but that's a whole other post in itself.
It looks great if I do say so myself.
We made it home just in time. We had a technician from Brighthouse scheduled to come between 3 and 5 to fix our DVR. Guess what time he showed up?! 4:59. I'm not exaggerating. He was here for about 20 minutes and fixed our problem. I am really starting to hate brighthouse. It's always something with them. Whatever.
That brings us to now, I've still got 2 loads of laundry to finish and a grumpy baby to put to bed.

Have a great week. :)

Oh hai.

Oy.

I feel like I haven't blogged in months! GAH!

So, lets update, shall we......

This week was awesome. Worked regularly Monday & Tuesday, left work at 10 on Wednesday, and then worked regularly yesterday and today. This week flew by....

Maybe that's because I SAW BRITNEY SPEARS!!!!!!!!!! Yes I did, yes I did (somebody please tell him who the eff I is) saw Nicki Minaj too. Jealous? It was awesome. I'd upload some of my videos buuuuuut I'm kind of screaming like a crazy teen-aged fan and I don't think you'd appreciate that. We had amazing seats, they were great, then we got upgraded to club level (vip bitches) after the chick sitting next to us barfed. Nope, I'm not lying, it really happened. Before Britney even came on stage! Luckily for her, otherwise I would have LOST MY MIND. I would have strangled her. But it all worked out. Yay for us. :)
Beer was $10 by the way. FOR ONE! One beer, and they had crappy choices...um not everyone likes bud light! clASSy.

Anyway, that day ranked up there with the likes of my wedding and the birth of my child <3
.....................................................................................

My kiddo also had her 9 month well baby check up!
Some stats.....
21lbs
27in long
She also started crawling. FINALLY. I was worried she would skip straight to walking, but nope! We're mobile people! Move over!!

All in all, it's been a damn good week. I'd tell you more but I'm starving and dinner's here!!!

Newborn again?

That's what it seemed like I had last night. Not an 8 month old baby who sleeps through the night for 11 hour stretches....oh no, a brand new little, bitty baby that wanted to be held and rocked. Heaven forbid you put her down. As soon as her head hit the sheets she'd wake up and start crying again. I definitely don't miss those never ending nights.

God willing it was a one night thing. I think she's about to get more teeth, maybe that's the culprit. She's been gnawing on her hand like there's no tomorrow and I've never seen so much drool!! So gross. We call her Special Agent Grosso. (Those of you with kids can appreciate that!)

................................................................................................

We went to Ikea yesterday to look for ideas for a dining room table. Guess what?! We found one we liked, and we bought it! An added bonus, is was under our budget! WAY under our budget!
GRANÃ…S Table and 4 chairs, black, glass
This photo doesn't really do it justice. (thanks ikea.com) Underneath the glass top there's a little shelf area (kind of) made of cute little squares (which match our decor!) I'm not going to use it for storing napkins or magazines like the description calls for, we're going to put some big, wide bowl and then maybe a bamboo plant on top of the glass..... we'll see.
The chairs however, neither the hubs or myself are a fan of. We bought gray cushions to put on them, which makes them look a little better, but as soon as we find some chairs we like, we'll be replacing them.

...................................................................................

Not a whole lot happened this week/weekend. Cleaning, laundry, Ikea, grocery shopping today, and a little relaxing. We were going to check out a Church we were invited to by a colleague, but with the baby's sleepless night last night, we didn't quite make it. So, next Sunday it is.
And the weekend after that we'll be headed to Busch Gardens to spend the day with my dad and sister! I'm really excited because I haven't been in years. I think the last time the hubs and I went was 2006...? I'm not certain, but it's been a long time.
I'd also like to make it to the beach sometime soon, since we live....oh I don't know, half hour from the shore! I'm excited to take the little one since she's such a water baby already!

I hope you all have a safe and fantastic 4th!!
Enjoy your week!!

Oh, and one more thing.....17 days until BRITNEY SPEARS!!!!

6 months....

My babe is 6 months old (actually she's closer to 7 months, so shoot me I'm late)
She had her check up this morning at 8am. Her doctor was kind enough to show up at 9:30.
Meh, things happen (traffic anyone?)

So, she weighs 18lbs 7oz, is 26 3/4 in long, and her head circumference is 17 (If I'm remembering correctly)
She is in the 90th percentile in weight and head circumference, and 75th percentile in height. This is the first appointment they have actually given me her percentages. Jerks.
She was tired and grumpy, and on top of all that, got 3 shots and an oral vaccination. She didn't appreciate that very much, she screamed and cried, but only for about 2 minutes then she was over it. She's such a good baby.
She's on top of all of her milestones, and her doc suggested we introduce the 'sippy cup' ....... She says it'll be easier to wean her off the bottle if we do, so we might just pick one up this weekend. She also told me that things are changing, and it is now recommended that kids be in rear facing car-seats until they are two!? I hadn't seen any seats that would fit a kid that big that faces the back... I don't know.

As you know, we've been working out daily. Well, we haven't stopped. The Mr. says he has lost 7 pounds! I'm so proud. I haven't been on a scale since January. I feel the longer I go between adventures on the scale, and bigger jump downward haha. I have no clue what I weigh, nor do I want to know....yet anyway. Close to my pre-pregnancy weight!! So close!!

Enjoy your weekend!!!

Friday

I could not be happier that today is Friday. It has been one hell of a week. Emergency room twice, family dinner night out on Wednesday (mid-week dinner dates with my family ((other than the hubs)) is too much, I always think it's the weekend and my next day at work sucks.)

Today, as you know, is Good Friday, and Earth Day. Didn't really do much to celebrate Earth Day, I didn't litter, so that has to count towards something....right? As for Good Friday...well...
I had to work. My job never takes a day off. We make up for Saturday and Sunday on Monday...that's the busiest day of the week.
Our boss sent us an email yesterday telling us to bring our appetites because they were feeding us! Having a luncheon in honor of Good Friday?! Yes please!
They got us Olive Garden...um, delish!
We started off with a little
bruschetta

then we got to choose from
chicken scampi

Ravioli

and Fettuccine Alfredo

Or we could have all 3, which most of us did along with as many bread sticks as we could handle.

Finished off of course, with these

So needless to say, lunch was great.
Then, because apparently she's awesome, our boss let us all go home at 3:00 instead of 4:30! What a great start to our holiday weekend.

The baby is feeling much, much better today. She was in a great mood when I picked her up from her nanny, and she stayed in a great mood until I put her to bed.

Today marks day 5 of working out!
The Mr. and I bought this

and let me tell you, it has been kicking our asses all week. I'm doing a "post baby" workout. It's starting with my legs and bum, so WOW, my poor, poor legs have been so sore, but the only way to make them stop hurting is to keep it up! So we are.
(We also haven't drank any beer this week at all) We're only going to be drinking during the weekend, which will be good for the beer bellies he and I have acquired.

This has been quite the post, and I promise to update with a little 'after Easter' update.
Have a great weekend, and Easter. Don't forget what Easter is all about my fellow bloggers ;)

Weekend update...

It's been quite a weekend my fellow bloggers.

As you all know, Baby A has been sick since Thursday. Coughing, sneezing, runny nose....poor kid.
We took her to after hours pediatrics Friday, did what they suggested and after 2 days, it didn't improve. So we called her primary care pediatrician and they said we should just take her in to the ER. So we did.
They ran some tests, and they all came back negative, no RSV, or influenza. She just has a little virus that's been going around, and it'll have to run its course. Boo.
I hate seeing my little one sick. It breaks my heart. So, fingers crossed, she'll be better within the next day or so.
I called her awesome nanny and told her what was going on, and she said she would still keep her tomorrow. (A is the only kid she has, so theres no risk of spreading to other babes) I'm so glad we have her in our lives. I couldn't have asked for anyone better to keep her...other than myself, obviously.

We had a little birthday celebration for me Saturday night, small, simple, and at our house. Just what I needed. Sushi, wine, and an awesome gift (banana scented perfume!) Also, red velvet cupcakes (which was my breakfast this morning btw)

Today has been pretty much meh, ER visit, cleaning, and MORE laundry...(something I'll elaborate on later)

Cheers to a new week, no more sick babies, pay day, and of course, my birthday.

It's that time again

That's right folks....

We're moving.

I doubt I've mentioned it in previous posts, but... I hate moving.
I don't hate a lot of things. You shouldn't hate. We don't need that floating around in the universe. (famous Phoebe quote from pilot episode of Friends ((don't hate...HA, it works two ways)) )
However, moving tops the not as short as it should be list.

Packing, cleaning, unpacking, putting away...ugh. I'd really rather not.
I'm leaving work early tomorrow so I can come home and do the mountain of laundry we've piled up over the last week. Which is something else on my "Hate List."
It's not so much the doing laundry part, mainly the putting away that sucks... but it's got to be done...

Annnnnyway.
We are moving to another apartment complex. It's right next to where we live now, like, I could literally throw a rock and hit our new apartment. (In case you're wondering, we will be living in an apartment for at least the next 4 years so we can save up for a house. Will we stay in Floria? I don't know! We'll see!)
Our current place is a 730 sq ft one bedroom, one bathroom apartment. Our new place is two bedrooms, two bathrooms and is1250 sq ft.
I'm super excited for baby A to have her own room. I'm really looking forward to decorating it.
Think, gray, pink and brown...pictures to come, you'll have to wait and see.

Since Easter will be our first holiday in our new place....here is a little giveaway from a fellow blogger....
Go here for all the details.... Good luck!

I promise to be a better blogger from now on....maybe I'll squeeze in 2 a week instead of just one.....
but don't hold me to it ;)

Enjoy your weekend.

84

I always have the hardest time thinking of an opening line, and a title.
That made it pretty easy. The title is my number of posts.
Maybe I'll start a trend...doubt it. Meh.

Whats been going on here, you ask?
A whole lot of nothing exciting really.

I went back to working full-time. Super excited about the amount of moolah the Mr. and I will have, that's definitely a plus. I did have to take the babe back to the nanny for those last 2 days of the week though. I miss our Thursday/Friday mommy/daughter days. And not having to do 4 loads of laundry all in one day. But whater ya gunna do?

Speaking of, the babe is rolling all over the place (not sure if I had mentioned that recently or not.) She is also getting up on her knees when she is on her tummy, so she should be crawling soon! How crazy is that? She is growing up so fast. She's almost 5 months old, almost half of a year old....and I still don't have a theme picked out for her 1st birthday bash! Yes, I am going to be one of those slightly crazy and obsessed moms who is going to throw a ridiculous bash for her child that they wont even remember (except for the ridiculously insane amount of pictures) If only I knew more kids her age to invite.....we'll figure something out.

We're moving 2 weeks from Saturday (I just looked at a calendar and saw that it is in fact 2 weeks, holy shit) I'm ready to have a large place. Our current space is very small, and we're quickly outgrowing it. I'm also very excited to do the babe's nursery! CanNotWait for that!

The hubs bought the new Xbox last night. ::eyeroll::
But also the KINECT! Woot! BItches! HAH! That, I'm excited about (can ya tell?!) Buh bye remaining baby weight, hello pre-pregnancy clothes, soon enough, with all of the kinect exercising I'll be doing. ;)

Things are really good right now, and I'm very happy.
See you tomorrow with a picture

Mid Week Update

This week has been pretty fantastic. It flew by. I know what you're thinking, "It's only Thursday!" and you're right, it is only Thursday, but Wednesday is my Friday at work. So today is Saturday, for me anyway.
The plan for today is, (because I know you're dying to know) laundry, clean the house, hope Brighthouse comes on time, and get ready for a Partylite party at 7. The hubs is out of town working today, so he wont be home until almost 9 tonight, so it's just me and the babe. Now, let me break this down for ya:

Laundry, how I hate thee. Yes, I do hate it, but alas, it must be done. Luckily I started last night, so I'm half way done! ::huge grin::

Clean, clean, clean: bathroom, kitchen, living room, vacuum, cat box...etc. etc. etc.

Brighthouse! After having (this pain in the ass company) for nearly a year, we are finally getting a DVR, which the Mr. couldn't care less about, but I am beyond excited. This means, of course, that I can record all of the shows that he refuses to watch, and enjoy them while he's not here! Hello Teen Mom 2, Pretty Little Liars, and Secret Life! ALSO! We're getting internet through them! Thank You Jesus! We have been enjoying (not really) free Wifi thanks to our apartment community, but because it's free, everyone uses it, SO it's suuuuuuuper slow. I tried to upload a video to facebook last week, it said it would be complete in 10 hours. No, I'm not kidding. So needless to say, I'm very excited.

Partylite party tonight. My boss is throwing it, and I told her I would go before we knew the hubs would be out of town, so I told her I would have the babe, and didn't want to be a party crasher that brings a baby. She said no worries, they want to see the babe, so we're going. It'll be fine. Fingers crossed anyway.

Of all of the things going on today, I will, of course, be playing with the babe in between all of it! I didn't want you to think I was just going to throw her in front of the TV and forget about her. (haha)

Tomorrow, all of the girls at work have been bugging me to bring the babe up there so they can see her and love on her, so I figured what the hell, I can pick up my check stub while I'm there, so I'll kill 2 birds with one stone.

I have no idea what is going on this weekend, hopefully something entertaining. I'll update if I find it to be worthy of a blog entry.

Have a good weekend!

I love Mondays

Why, you ask?

Well, because of this guy

He cracks my shit up. He is such a dick, but it's something about those eyes, and that fact that he is British, and you'd never know it.

Also, Monday is the hubs night to get up with the kiddo. Which leaves me nice and rested for Tuesday....which we all know is GLEE (only the best show EVER)

Let me recap my thoughts on the Oscars..... bo-ring.
And seriously, you win the Oscar for Best actress in a supporting role (wtf happened to Best Supporting Actress) and you drop the F BOMB?! Really?! The one and only time it has ever happened in 83 years of Oscar history. Classy lady.
And that poor, poor old man, what was his name, I don't remember. It was so sad. He was so old, I couldn't even understand him when he spoke. ::sadface::
James Franco could not have been and higher. Loser.
Overall, not impressed. They were supposed to revamp to interest the younger demographic, I'd have to say, you barely passed. C-

Anyhow, the babe is 4 months old today!! 4 MONTHS!
I'll have to do an update on that later though, House calls.... (pun intended)

Bounce around update.

play hard.. love deep... say your prayers before you sleep.. love your neighbors... forgive your foes.. for life is short, how long? who knows... so see these rules and take them in.. for life may be hard, but love will win...

No that is not a JMo original, but I read it and loved it and thought I'd share.

It's been a pretty good week. My 3 days of work seemed to drag on, but Thursday finally arrived. Not before Wednesday (obvs) which was my wonderful hubby's 29th birthday!! He is so bummed about turning 30 it's ridiculous. I could not care less to be quite honest. Maybe it's because I'm only (about to be) 24 and I have a few more years in my 20's to go...who knows.
Anyhow, I asked about 100 times what he wanted and he said nothing, like he usually does, so I got him a lunch box for work. He had been taking his lunch to work in Walmart bags, and it was a pretty sad sight. I figured since he wouldn't tell me what he wanted, I would get him something he needed and could use everyday. He liked it! I got him a card from me, and one from our babe. It was SUPER sweet! AND my dad sent him a card too! With money in it! I was so surprised! My dad's a cool guy though. I'm sorry you all will never know the awesome-ness that is my father.
I guess we're going out tonight with friends to celebrate. The babe will be coming so hopefully she'll behave. We really need to find at least one other person that we can trust to watch her. Other than her weekday nanny, we have one person. And what if we need someone to keep her when that person can't? We're screwed.

I'm currently looking for another job, I was cut down to 3 days a week after only working full time for 2 weeks. It pretty much sucks, but at least I still have some sort of income. And 3 days is definitely better than none at all. Our HR person gave me a couple of resources to go through, and I sent out a couple applications/resumes. Maybe I'll hear back...that'd be awesome!

As of tomorrow I will have been a non-smoker for 1 YEAR! That's right. We found out February 26th 2010 that we were expecting and I smoked my last cigarette... I still miss smoking. I want to do it everyday. But I don't. And I wont. It's not fair to my babe....now it's just getting the MR. to quit....

I know this kind of jumped around all over the place but that's how things go these days....

Enjoy your weekend!!

Week(end) Update

This week flew by, I think it was because I knew I'd be getting paid on Friday (for the first time in a very long time). I'm starting to really like my job. Friday rolled around and 2 people were out of the office so it was mainly myself and 2 others, we hung out, working, chatting and listening to the radio. When lunch rolled around I told them that they needed to think of me and not talk to each other in Spanish the whole time, like usual, and they did! Finally I felt included! I got lots of work done, and when 430 rolled around, I flew out the door, down I4 and got to the nanny's to pick up my little one. (Who, by the way is 3 months old today!!)

Saturday we got up and moving around 9ish, and were out the door by 10. We spent the day apartment hunting. We visited 4 or 5 different communities, and didn't really have much luck. See, in the past we have really just checked out one place and moved in. This time we want to take our time and find the perfect place for us. Our current place is way too small, and we'd like to have a lot more space, for one, so A can have her own room, and two, so we can have people over and not feel like we're sitting on top of one another. We saw two that we really liked, but we made too much money to live in one, and the other was too small, it was gorgeous and in the perfect location, but not for us. So, we'll continue the search next weekend. (I also didn't feel like working at my second job so I called around and got someone to work for me ;) ) I spent the rest of the day cleaning instead of working!

We ended the night renting The Social Network, drinking a few and passing out. To be honest, I went to bed about half way though the movie, so I finished it this morning. ;)

Today consisted of lounging around and not doing much. Baby A has been a grump all day, so I'm glad it's almost over. I finished up laundry and we went for a walk (it was a gorgeous day) and that was pretty much it. Exciting huh?

Week(end) Recap

I know I don't update as often as I used to, but I'm busy these days.

I leave home at 7am and don't get home until 6pm. I'd update from my crackberry, but if I did, I'd never get any work done, so for now, I'll update when I can, continuing of course, my wordless Wednesday/Project 52.

My first week at my new job was great. All of the people in the office are really nice, and very helpful. Nearly 80% of the employees in our office are Hispanic, so they talk amongst each other in Spanish. Now I have ABSOLUTELY no problem with people speaking in whatever language they are most comfortable with, but I do, however, find it a little rude when we're all sitting at lunch together and they talk to each other knowing that we can't understand them. Am I wrong for feeling this way? If I am, please don't hesitate to correct me.

Here's what I do: I sit at a desk, in a room by myself (until they get an office space available for me) and I organize receipts from all of the Mexican restaurants in Epcot. I separate them, and count them, and enter all of the information into Excel. Now, I'm the only person who does this particular job, and we have quite a few restaurants, so I am never not busy. There is always work for me, which is awesome. It helps the days go by so much faster.
I appreciate this because we had to get a nanny for Baby A. I was hesitant at first and worried about this, but the woman we chose is a friend of a friend of a friend. She worked in a day care for 20 years, has 2 kids of her own, and Baby A is the only child she keeps. She is the sweetest woman I have ever met. My first day dropping the babe off with her, she got me a card telling me that everything would be ok, and not to worry that babes was in good hands and if I needed anything, or if I ever wanted to call, I could whenever. I cried so hard leaving my baby with her. I would have cried leaving her with anyone, but knowing that she was with someone who genuinely cared, made it a little easier. (She warned me when we all met for the first time for her initial interview that I would cry, I didn't think I would, but my Cod! She was right!)
It got easier everyday. She hugs me every morning and tells me to have a good day and asks me about my day when I pick up the kiddo. Amazing. I couldn't have asked for anyone better. She also got me a card on Friday congratulating me on making it through my first week!!
Babes seems to be getting used to her as well, she said she gradually got more used to her everyday. Tomorrow will be interesting since she will have to readjust from being with us all weekend. But fingers crossed everything will be ok.

Nothing really exciting happened this past week, woke up, went to work, came home, went to bed. Nothing to write home about for sure. Hmm, lets see...trying to think about what went down this weekend..
ahh, Saturday I went to work at my second job Old Navy. I like it, and I'm keeping it because I like the discount I get at the Gap. Plus it's only 1 day a week or every other, nothing I can't handle. The hubs got his xbox back that night from getting fixed, so he was a happy camper. Then we went to Linds and Wes' house drank some brews, watched Pretty Little Liars and Teen Mom 2. Usually we have to leave early because babes throws a fit, but this time, she fell asleep in my arms, and I held her and she did great! We actually got to stay out until 1030ish!
This morning we went to breakfast at Lindsey's parents, went and looked at a townhouse (that I really want to move into) then Lindsey and I went shopping and I came home and here we are. (There's a lot of Lindsey in that paragraph, can you tell I don't have many friends? I don't care, she'd be my favorite regardless...((don't worry Jess, ily toooo)) ..)

Tomorrow begins week 2 of full time workin', and my FIRST pay check!!! Woot! I'm rich biatch! Whomp whomp!! (thats a truck horn btw) haha

Have a good week.

(I was spell checking and I spelled 'regardless' wrong, and one of the suggestions were 'irreguardless' THAT'S NOT A WORD! GAH!)

Happy Due Date To Us!

•How far along?: 40 weeks

•How big is baby?: According to What to Expect around 7 to 8 pounds and between 19 and 21 inches. Actual, real baby size.

•Maternity clothes?: Yep, what still fits anyway.

•Stretch marks?: Meh, I'm not worried about it.

•Sleep?: I have good nights and bad nights. Last night was terrible, so maybe tonight will be better.

•Food cravings?: Sweets I guess.

•Labor signs?: Yep. Lots of them. We'll get to that later...

•Belly button in or out?: In. It's not coming out!

•What I miss: Lots of things, but it's OK, it's almost over!

•What I'm looking forward to: Meeting my daughter.

So last night we had our second trip to labor and delivery. I have been having contractions on and off since Monday, and finally yesterday I had a couple that took my breath away. So when the hubs got home off we went. Of course once we get there and I get hooked up to the monitors, the contractions pretty much stop. Just my luck. But they did an internal exam, and I am 1 centimeter dilated, 70% effaced, and at a -2 station, so we are making some progress. They sent me home and told us not to come back until they were 5 minutes apart, and I couldn't walk, talk or breathe through them.

This morning I had my last weekly appointment. My doctor saw in my chart that I had been to L&D, and decided she wanted to do an internal exam herself to see if I had progressed at all over night. Nope. Nothing. Still the same. So she officially scheduled my induction for next Thursday, November 4th (which, by the way, she will not be able to attend, so some random doctor that I haven't met will be delivering my daughter. Nice huh?)

I might add that after coming home from L&D last night I took a shower and attempted to go to bed. This was when I had my first set of contractions that I could actually feel begin, peak, go away, and I could time them. They lasted for about an hour, at about 5 minute intervals. This is when they said to come back to L&D, but I wasn't going anywhere. Which is kind of a good thing since after the one hour, I had another contraction that peaked, and just stayed there. It didn't go away, it just.....stayed. And God did it hurt. I didn't sleep more than 3 hours because I was hurting so much. I tried switching positions, laid on the floor, the couch...everything I could imagine, and nothing worked. So I felt like shit when I "woke up".

After the appointment this morning, Lindsey and I walked around the mall, since it was so hot outside, it saved me from having to walk around the block like I usually do. Once she dropped me off, the pain came back.... I can't sit down without feeling like she is being shoved back up, and I can't stand up without feeling like she is going to fall out. I am in so much pain, and am so uncomfortable. I'm just so ready to have this baby. I'm ready to get to the hospital and get some pain meds. And of course, meet our daughter. I'm sorry if this is jumpy, I'm typing between contractions...

39 weeks....and a surprise update

•How far along?: 39 weeks

•How big is baby?: According to What to Expect around 7 to 8 pounds and between 19 and 21 inches. Actual, real baby size. Craziness.

•Maternity clothes?: Yep. Pretty much everything.

•Stretch marks?: Meh, I'm not worried about it.

•Sleep?: I have good nights and bad nights. I have gotten up early the last 2 days though, and I've got to admit, I kind of enjoy having a longer day.

•Food cravings?: Meh, honestly nothing in particular... well, sweets I guess.

•Labor signs?: Random contractions, nothing serious yet though.

•Belly button in or out?: In. It's not coming out!

•What I miss: Alcohol.

•What I'm looking forward to: Meeting my daughter.

So today I had my 39 week appointment, at 8:45 this morning might I add. The doctor actually found her heartbeat within the first 5 seconds (after 6 weeks of her taking 10+ minutes to find it) so that made my day a little brighter.

She also told me that if I haven't had her by her due date (8 DAYS...omg) that she will induce me on November 4th. So I could have her as early as today (I can wish right?), or no later than 15 days from today. Two weeks from tomorrow.

It hasn't hit me yet. It still doesn't feel real. I don't think it will until I'm in the hospital bed, hooked up to monitors feeling the contractions. Soon enough I guess.

Anyhow, after my appointment this morning Lindsey and I went to Babies R Us, I was going to pick up the AngelCare Baby Monitor. While we were there, I met a lady who said she had one, gently used that she would sell me for half the price. I was like, um hell yes! Then of course after I give her my address and phone number so she can bring it to me, I think, oh shit, what if she is some sort of crazy baby snatcher, and when she comes to my house she ties me up and cuts me open and steals my baby?! I never think about the dangers until after the fact. So keep your fingers crossed that I don't get killed today, and everything goes well.

Until next time....
Edited to add:
So she came, and went. I got my AngelCare baby monitor for half the price, she didn't kill me, and it is in great condition and still works! Woo! I didn't die, or get ripped off!
